I did enjoy the dialogue more in two though as it was the right pace and timing one could take over 2 hours of dialogue to get through it as really didn’t add much to the story but more backstories of the characters prior to the game taken place.

The first one you got to go underwater through hell in the snow in space murderworld was my favorite it was just better overall. The level design was bland too as either you were in a building or outside one. My thoughts One was just better in terms of level design, story gameplay, characters and graphics loved the color and shadows in this game, there were side missions and the best thing is you can use any character on any level whereas two you were kinda stuck using certain characters depending on which side you chose or what level you were on. I'd give MUA 1 a solid 8.5/10, and MUA2 a 6.0/10 at best.įinished One last week Almost finished playing 2 now both the enhanced versions and although I appreciate 2 more now then I did years go this will only be the second time I played it I played one at least a dozen times and it’s fun every time. I just could not get into it for the life of me. Much of what went down in MUA2 sort of felt like it was happening without you in some ways, if that makes sense. I actually even felt the cut-scenes were far more impactful when they took place. MUA1 has always impressed me with a decent level of balance, enjoyable powers (even if a little lackluster), customization options, great atmosphere with several interesting areas, and genuinely enjoyable interactions with other hero's/villains. I just really disliked everything from MUA2 from art style, story length, map design and area choice, move limitation, bland combinations (like the 2-man rushing combo), terrible ending, and the watered down RPG elements. Always interesting seeing different point of views on these two titles. I do appreciate the video and the time it takes to throw it together, though. I easily dumped a 1000+ hours into MUA over the last decade or so, and I've played through MUA2 maybe two or three times and always ended up feeling let down by the end of each play through. I genuinely feel they don't even come close.
